magma gallery is located on the ground floor of the historic former Canterbury Hotel in Lyttelton.

Lyttelton is a 15 minute drive from Christchurch. It is a popular destination, because of its venues, funky cafes, unusual bars, restaurants, beaches, harbour cruises, speciality shops, regular festivals and the farmers market.

This small town has become a destination for visitors from Christchurch and from around the country and the world, who are enjoying a place free from malls and megastores. Many artists, famous and emerging, live and work in Lyttelton which could be called the artistic epicentre of Canterbury.
