“Toki” Pounamu Pendant by Jen’s Stones

“Toki”
handcrafted by Jen in Ross at the West Coast of the South Island. Traditionally a Maori carving tool, the meaning is one of strength, control, determination, courage and focus.
This Pounamu comes from the Hokitika region and is a high grade light greenstone. Kokopu Pounamu takes its name from the native kōkopu trout with its speckled or mottled texture. Kōkopu pounamu is very diverse with tones of reddish-brown and even blue, with a speckled or mottled texture resulting in a diverse character and appearance.
The pendant is attached to an adjustable hand-plaited waxed cotton cord.
